The Online Guide to Military Archives is now online

Following the ICMH Congress in Sofia in 2019 the CAM refocused the attention on the Online Guide to Military Archives because we believe that it could be a very important tool for researchers, scholars, students and archivists to find the correct information they are looking for and more important: where to find it.

The CAM has created a very simple template, where the archives and institutions can fill in the information about their archives, address, opening hours, finding aids, restrictions on access, etc. Since the new start of this project the CAM has received little contributions from the members. Anyway, we think the best way to show the benefits of this online guide is to really show this to the public. So, CAM decided to put the guide online.

CAM is determined to continue this project and will be sending invitations to archival institutions worldwide in the hope we can update our guide as much as possible. We ask you once again to help us in sending us the information we need for our Online Guide or spread the news to archives and institutions in your country.

The Archives Committee would like to thank Prof. Dr. Massimo de Leonardis and the Board Members for their support and encouragement for this initiative and also Dr. Davide Borsani through the commitment he demonstrated on the Online Guide realisation.

CAM is very committed to this project and we would be very grateful for your help.
