The winner of the 2019 Corvisier Prize

The Jury of the Corvisier Prize chose Dr. Adam Storring’s dissertation as the laureate of the 2019 edition of the Corvisier Prize. The members of the jury de soutenance de thèse agreed about the importance of the work of Dr. Storring, which, when published, will be a fundamental volume on the subject. The IJMH Early-Career Paper Prize 2019

The International Journal of Military History and Historiography invites submissions for its IJMH Early-Career Paper Prize. The International Journal of Military History and Historiography (IJMH) has been continuously published (from 1978 to 2015 as the International Bibliography of Military History – IBMH), on behalf of the International Commission of Military History (ICMH), which can trace back its origins to 1938. The journal offers its readers and authors a platform that includes original research articles on any military historical topic from antiquity to the contemporary period that can appeal to an international readership.

NATO@70, International Conference at UCSC, Milan (Italy)

The International Conference organised by the Department of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan (Italy), on "The Atlantic Alliance at 70: historical lessons, current challenges and future perspectives" will be held at the Catholic University on Thursday 4 April 2019. Its purpose is to bring together diplomats, military and academics in order to study the evolution of NATO during and after the Cold War, looking at its path ahead.

New issue of the ICMH Newsletter, December 2018

Last September, we had our 44th International Congress on Military History in Jerusalem, Israel, which was a very interesting experience.
