The ICMH President member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts
The President of the ICMH, Prof. Massimo de Leonardis, has been elected as ordinary member in class V – Social Sciences, Law & Economics of the Academia Scientiarium et Artium Europaea. The Academy’s mission is to stimulate cross-disciplinary collaboration between reputable scientists of all disciplines, leading artists and practitioners of governance. Their purpose is to analyze important societal challenges and to help solving complex issues for the wellbeing of Europeans’ future.

The ICMH President de Leonardis awarded in Bulgaria
After a procedure initiated in 2018 by Prof. Kiril Plamen Kartaloff, PhD, a Bulgarian scholar which studied at the Catholic University in Milan, on Tuesday 21st May in Sofia, the President of ICMH Prof. Massimo de Leonardis was awarded by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences the “Marin Drinov Medal with ribbon”. It draws its name from the historian who founded the Academy 150 years ago.

Appointment for the President of Bibliographic Committee
Dr. Marco Wyss, President of the Bibliographic Committee of ICMH and Editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Military History and Historiography has been appointed Director of the Centre for War and Diplomacy at Lancaster University (UK).

The winner of the 2019 Corvisier Prize
The Jury of the Corvisier Prize chose Dr. Adam Storring’s dissertation as the laureate of the 2019 edition of the Corvisier Prize. The members of the jury de soutenance de thèse agreed about the importance of the work of Dr. Storring, which, when published, will be a fundamental volume on the subject.
