The ICMH Newsletter #44, December 2025 is now available for download. It features the Message and Strategic Vision of the new ICMH President, Dr Harold Raugh; the results of the recent elections and the introduction of the new leadership; the After Action Review of the L Congress in Dakar; and information on the upcoming LI Congress in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. The issue also includes contributions on ICMH activities, with reports from Specialized Committees, news from National Commissions, and highlights of achievements within our community of historians.

Educational Committee Announces New Secretary-General and First Online Meeting

The Educational Committee of the International Commission of Military History has announced the appointment of a new Secretary-General and the launch of a new series of online meetings to foster scientific exchange and networking among its members.

ICMH Fellowship for Research Projects on Military History 2026 Call Open

The International Commission of Military History has opened the call for the VI edition of the Fellowship to fund Research Projects on Military History. Eligible themes encompass the history of warfare, military campaigns, armed forces, military thought and philosophy, diplomatic aspects of conflicts, causes and effects of wars, defense economics, civil-military relations, military technology, leadership, and demographics of military forces, with preference for archival sources.

André Corvisier Prize 2026 - X Edition

The International Commission of Military History awards the André Corvisier Prize for PhD theses on Military History, named after the distinguished French scholar who was for ten years President of ICMH and then President of Honour. For the 2026 edition, the prize will be awarded for a PhD thesis discussed and approved in 2025 at a recognized University.
