ICMH Fellowship for Research Projects on Military History 2026 Call Open
The International Commission of Military History has opened the call for the VI edition of the Fellowship to fund Research Projects on Military History. Eligible themes encompass the history of warfare, military campaigns, armed forces, military thought and philosophy, diplomatic aspects of conflicts, causes and effects of wars, defense economics, civil-military relations, military technology, leadership, and demographics of military forces, with preference for archival sources.
The Fellowship, worth at least 3,000 euros, will be awarded by a jury chaired by the ICMH President, Dr. Harold E. Raugh. The call targets candidates holding a Ph.D. in historical disciplines, under 40 years old as of 30 June 2026, from countries with an ICMH National Commission or accepted as Individual Affiliate Scholars.
