New ICMH Bibliography Committee

The International Commission of Military History’s (ICMH) Bibliography Committee (BC) is one of three specialized committees of the ICMH, along with the Archives and Educational Committees. Each provides a unique service to the ICMH as well as to the military history community, with the Bibliography Committee providing academic book reviews and editorial support to the ICMH’s new professional open access journal, Global Military History Journal (GMHJ). To enhance effectiveness and efficiency, various governance procedures have been institutionalized and streamlined, resulting in the appointment of new leaders and members of the Bibliography Committee.

National Commission Presidents were instrumental in this process, as they provided the names of qualified nominees for consideration of selection. Candidates were reviewed by the ICMH Executive Board, which has approved the leaders and members of the GMHJ and the Bibliography Committee. The leaders and members of the Bibliography Committee and editors of the GMHJ are:

President, BC/Editor-in-Chief, GMHJ: Davide Borsani (Italy)

Vice President, BC/Deputy Editor-in-Chief, GMHJ: Nuno Oliveira (Portugal)

Editorial Board: to be selected

Secretary General, BC/Book Review Editor, GMHJ: vacant
