Results of 2025 ICMH Leadership Elections
The International Commission of Military History (ICMH) holds leadership elections, to maintain continuity while providing opportunities to improve the Commission’s effectiveness and efficiency, every five years. The 2025 ICMH leadership elections were conducted on 5 September 2025 after the General Assembly during the 50th ICMH Congress, held in Dakar, Senegal.

Result of the IV Edition ICMH Fellowship
Thanks to the support of the International Commission of Military History through its Fellowship 2024, IV edition, Anna Batzeli, a researcher at the Democritus University of Thrace, has completed a study titled “Support Initiatives for the Families of the Fallen in Greece (1897–1922) and the Cretan State (1898–1913).”

Publication of the Acta of the XLIX ICMH Congress
The International Commission of Military History is pleased to announce that the Portuguese Military History Commission has published the two-volume Acta of the XLIX Congress, titled "Military History and the Global Perspective," held in Lisbon (960 pages). The papers are now available in digital format (PDF) at: https://congresso.defesa.gov.pt/Paginas/Acta.aspx.

V Edition ICMH Fellowship Awarded
The Jury for the V Edition of the International Commission of Military History (ICMH) Fellowship is pleased to announce that Dr. Davide Borsani, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Italy, has been selected as the winner of the 2025 Fellowship. Dr. Borsani has been awarded €3,500 to support his research project, Wings Over the Sea: The Defence of the Mediterranean and the Italian Naval Air Problem (1947-1957).
