The Winner of the “André Corvisier Prize 2026” for Ph.D. Theses in Military History
The International Commission of Military History (ICMH) is pleased to announce that the winner of the “André Corvisier Prize 2026” for the best Ph.D. thesis in Military History is Dr. Hugo Tierny, Postdoctoral Researcher in China’s Military and Hybrid Strategies at the Strategic Research Institute of the Military School (IRSEM), Ministry of the Armed Forces, Paris.

LI ICMH Congress in Brazil
Dr. Harold Raugh, the President of the International Commission of Military History (ICMH), is pleased and proud to announce that the ICMH will hold its LI Congress in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil, 23-28 August 2026. Hosted by the Brazilian Institute of Military Geography and History (IGHMB) – the Brazilian Commission of Military History (CBHM) – the event marks the IGHMB’s 90th anniversary. Foz do Iguaçu, at the triple border of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, offers exceptional facilities and symbolizes harmonious cross-border coexistence.
