9. General description of contents

The Historical Office is responsible for the Historical Archives of the Carabinieri Corps. These include documents from the General Headquarters and from all the hierarchy from the top to the bottom of the chain of command.

By the end of 2017, the Historical Office kept holdings of approximately the following amount:

•                1,5 Km of written records

•                15.000 about photographs

•                3.000 books in the library.

These holdings are from the period of 1831 up to now.
